Measure: An Exhibition at Sheffield Cathedral

Measure: An exhibition at Sheffield Cathedral.

British art group Oracles have undertaken a project to explore the human soul. The group is made up of Gill Alderson, Michael Borkowsky, Sylvia Causer, Andrea Freeman, and Sharon Mossbeck. Each of the artists has interpreted the theme of measuring the soul in their work, resulting in sculpture, embroidery, fragrance and performance.

Putting contemporary art into a religious setting was a driving force behind the exhibition, and Sheffield Cathedral is a stunning backdrop, perfectly suited to the spiritual theme.

On Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th November there is an opportunity to meet some of the five artists, who will be present at the exhibition from 12-3pm.

The exhibition runs from 11th-19th November, and is open from 10-4 daily.

Entry to the Cathedral and the exhibition is FREE.

Performances by performance duo Pink and grAy (Causer and Freeman) are on Sat 11th, Tues 14th, & Sat 18th November at 2.00 & 2.45
